Pentacon Electric 135mm 2.8, a swan, a cold morning, and a Canon EOS 350D.

I just imagine your beautiful country a summer time ! Nice capture and an image with special feeling. I like your a bit dark captures.

The sombre background really leads the eye to the swan. Very nicely done.

Thank you

It's quit ironic, I took this on a trip in the north of Sweden. Yet, I live 3km from a small lake in the south/middle of Swedene wheres theres 2000 swans every day Wink

Yes, we have nice summers here. Would be nice if its here soon, I'm a little bit tired of the winter. There's hope, the flowers in my garden has started to grow Smile

The tones are sombre but they are deep and rich, not muddy as it often happens with this kind of exposure. Very good.

The powerful contrast really works well with the composition.

And yet I broke a rule and put the waterline in the middle Wink

Photographic rules are guidelines; they can be broken with thought.

In this case, the waterline is i the middle but the reflected swan is off the middle, and is the main subject.

A photo of mine which is currently my laptop background is basically a central waterline with a small amount of trees, mist and road in the middle; the top and bottom are just smooth grey sky (top) and water (bottom).

I can't post it here since it breaks another rule Smile

Beautiful picture.
Like Chris said you didn't break any rule.
When it's about wild life we don't have time to compose the picture.
I become hectic Very Happy and barely find the trigger, sort of speaking.
One of my whale tails, which is perfectly central, is on my desktop. I'm very happy with it.

It's a beautiful, peaceful picture. I can almost hear the silence.
