Is it working and accurate?

Is it a pure selenium battery less unit or it does requires some batteries?

When the selenium cell is still working, the meters are usually accurate enough for average results in colour film and (to a lesser extent) also for B&W.
Slide film is a different ballpark though, there a one stop shift can make the difference between a keeper and a trash.
