Andy, I'm fine, work has been a real bee-otch lately, in fact I'm using

Patrick, trillium are interesting since the seeds are spread by ants and
mice. A meadow full of these in bloom bring back memories of Talache
Road, Black Mountain, south of Sandpoint, Idaho. Wish I was into photography back in the 70's. |

Well, I sure would like to "practice" with something like the Epson V700! My 2450 does pretty well on medium format, but I can only imagine the results with something in the neighborhood of 4000dpi, plus all the bells and whistles of those higher end scanners.

Thank you Orio. I ALWAYS love to hear from you. The flowers "make" the shot for me, along with the ferns reaching into the frame from above.
Hubert wrote: I feel like in a magic forest just looking at this photo!
Hubert, the forest in that west side valley IS magical. It really truly is....
Bill wrote: It sure is trillium, Patrick, we have it also in northern Idaho plus little

Yes, the lady slippers will be out around April as well, in the deeper forests, especially like to grow in the "needles" left at the base of trees, and usually always on sloping ground. Of course, one wants to break out the macro for those!
Patrick wrote: Great shot as usual Laurence. Is that a Trillium in the foreground? Wild?
Yes, Patrick, wild. In fact this particular creek valley is one of the best places for Trilliums I've ever seen! They are everywhere in April and into May!
