It's a helluva lens and if you can get one, do so as you'll never regret it.

Just did a search on ebay for this lens and was a bit taken aback by the price! They were all BIN prices though and probably somewhat inflated (I hope). How much do M42 versions of this lens go for, does any one know?
Thanks, Kris. _________________ Kris Lockyear

Attila will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the average price outside of Ebay now for a decent Exakta mount copy is about £500-600 or thereabouts - the M42 ones were more expensive at one time and may well still be so. You've probably more chance of finding an Exakta mount version as everyone that has the M42 mount copies tends to hang on to them.
It's one of the few lenses that fully deserves it's reputation (it's not perfect though...) and unfortunately for the prospective buyer, it's s/h price tends to reflect this. |
