Captures that brings out a smile. They seem to have fun as well.
Maybe the focus is a little bit off, but I guess the light coniditions were difficult. _________________ DSLR: Nikon D200, Pentax *istDL, Nikon D100 IR converted

Much better to capture the fun with a slightly missed focus, than to take an artificial pose with perfect focus
this at least is my philosophy.
Great captures, it makes me think how good life would be if we could always be careless at all ages like we used to be at that age. _________________ Orio, Administrator

indeed - but there's not much to say for improvement. The fact that the focus was slightly missed is obvious to you too, so not much point to point it out also it's within the tolerance range for the genre.
Snapshots are not supposed to be technically perfect. If they happen to be, even better, but what counts in snapshots is the moment. If you look closely at the photos of, say, Cartier Bresson, you'll find some where the focus is missed, others where there's some motion blur, and so on. And I'm speaking of the most famous.
If you presented these as studio portraits, the missed focus would have been an unforgivable error. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Like everyone said above. The most important thing is to capture the moment. And you did that. |
