I just took this few hours ago.
Can you guess what lens I used to take this?
Gear Sony NEX5
Hint: not macro lens, no tube, no filter macro, not reversed, and it's cropped 100%

edited: thanks for advice Mo

Hi all
Just mentioning it may not be good to offer cash/paypal incentives to guess the lens (it could cause unforeseen problems) .I think it is fun enough just guessing...as for me I have no clue what lens it may be Very Happy
Thanks

As i said already i suspect a zoom (look at the CA in the antennas - especially on the right side)
So maybe the Tamron 28-70mm 3.5-4.5 Smile

I even didn't notice that CA, very good eyes Stefan.

Well, you guys thinking good reason Very Happy
Anyone?

I would say
Tamron SP 60-300mm F/3.8-5.4

i need to get home, bring this lens out and take a closer look.
it's one with (relatively) close focus capability in your list.

Let's try:

- If image has small PostProcessing (regarding vignetting for example): my guess is --> SONY SEL 16/2,8 AF rsrsrs

- otherwise let's guess something odd --> Meopta Belar 75/4,5 zebra Laughing

...
Well, my guesses were just put some coverage to all the lens options you have,
but like others best bet would be a big zommer lens.

Regards

It is the tamron 60-300. I cant remember but now Confirmed. I am amazing what this lens can do macro. Wow wow.

It has very close focus capability. I should use this lens more often. What a nice piece of glass...
Hey, thanks to remind me.

Macro upto 1:1.55 at very close range.
At 300mm, MFD is 1.9 meter. Not really a macro, but enough to crop, and very good distance.

It's getting interesting...
I remind you a hint. it's 100% crop Very Happy

here's another angle. look at distortion

PostPosted: Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:27 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Nobody think this is from a fisheye lens Very Happy
Look at distortion from 2nd picture.
It's all taken with Takumar 17/4. I was surprised myself detail in edge is great, so I give you all this puzzle. Nobody will think it came from fisheye, specially edge of rame.
Thanks all for your comment.. cheers. I'm gonna love this lens more. Very Happy

interesting.
The pentax M20/4 that should perform similar, but never tried close focus on it.
Otherwise, sigma 8-16 can focus really close, lovely at 16mm.

Actually I didn't mean to shot macro with it. it was so quick moment, and the only lens in my NEX is this Tak.
M20/4 should perform good for close focus too, how much is the closest distance?
I have experience with Flektogon 20/4 in same situation here, but this time I use flash light.

You are *master* macro Wink

The M20/4 has 25cm as MFD.
As for MFD, I remember have several photos with it at MFD in my picasa, under the folder "M20f4", 1st and 2nd photo.
Also you can find the sample of Takumar 15/3.5 at MFD, under folder "Tak15f3.5asph", 2 last photos.

I need to get the nex soon, the zuiko 21/3.5 is waiting...
