Is it the EOS mount version?

I once saw the 28-70 f2.6 in EOS mount. ... it was US$1400 used, otherwise I'd have bought it. At least it had autofocus unlike if you had to adapt one!

No, it's a Leica R mount.
I don't think Angenieux has Canon EOS mount, They have Nikon AIS mount, Leica R mount, Canon FD mount Olympus OM mount and Pentax K mount

a-ha!
There is (at least for 28-70). And with AF too. I actually tried it out. And why I held on to it for quite a while before the shopkeeper pried it out of my hands...
It worked well on the EOS 350D I was trying it on too.

?? There is no Angenieux lens in this focal lenght with AF.. ??

Or did you mean the Tokina clone of this Angenieux 28-70mm formula.. ????

I did some test shots with Carstens Tokina.. sorry, but is far away from the original Angenieux IQ.. sure, the Tokina lens is a good one, but if you have tried the original .. nothing compairs to that Angenieux.

Especially the 35-70mm and the 70-210mm are outstanding lenses with one of the best IQ i have ever seen on old zoom lens constructions.

Here is a link to the presentation of the Angenieux 2.5-3.3/35-70mm

There is also a presentation from Member Oliver who introduced the "big brother = 70-210mm". Sorry, not finding the link to that..
Both lenses are fantastic..

Congrats to the photographer who did buy one of the lenses.

That are really great lenses..

Cheers
Henry

Wow, very nice crispness and color. Very soft, luxurious bokeh too.

I've long admired this lens, but it's always been too expensive for my budget.
