This Cosina's lens has sibling such as Helier 50/3.5 which has very sharp
reputation as a normal lens, but I prefer faster lens with reasons.
These were shot with Bessa-R (old RF camera for L-mount lenses) and
Fuji Reala (I am beginning to being sick of it Very Happy) in Hawaii.

@~f5.6 exotic flower

@f2 Painted church (you can check it by wikipedia) the lens has very nice bokeh at f2 and f2.8

@f? a whale tail

@f5.6? another exotic flower

@f8? waves and shore at Molokai island from helicopter

@f? Surfs and surfers (can you see them, more than dozen of them)

100% crop at right hand of the above photo (you see grains of film)

even tree is exotic (@f2 but hand-shaked, inside of rain forest is dark) I tried to fix tiny blur by PS but not successful

black sand beach, I think @f8 The lens is sharp after f2.8

i like your photos, especially the top view at molokai. i shoot a bessa r with jupiter 8, industar 50 rigid and my newest - canon 50/1.8. any time you get really, really, really tired of your cv ltm lens, let me know, hint, hint ... Wink

ok, ok, fish4570. I will remember it. Very Happy

The lens has almost no coma-abberation, I don't know because this
the lens is sharp after F2.8 yet back ground bokeh is very nice. Its
sharpness never becomes too sharp to your eyes like some of
macro lenses, this is an ideal thing for me. Just like Contax G-sonnar
90mm F2.8 or Cosina Nokton 58mm F1.4, and so on...

Lovely pictures and lens, Koji.
I'm not sure if I like Reala - it seems to give a magenta cast to the shadows.

Yes, Hawaii is a lovely place but I am not sure to want to live there. Very Happy
The weather is nice for my ailing body and late asthma, and flowers
everywhere. Actually we went there to look for my final resting place.
(i.e. I want to scatter my ashes to a beautiful sea, though the most of
nice places are too desolate unfortunately. I kind of decide to do it
in Japanese inland sea, which is much closer to people's place. Very Happy Very Happy)

Yes, Orio the shadow has magenta cast. I was trying to eliminate that,
but not successful. Crying or Very sad

So nothing is perfect, eh? Very Happy Smile Very Happy Smile

Well, negative colour film is rarely perfect - Reala looks actually better than many others in my opinion. But I would always choose slides first.
