Yes, there are quite a few. Visit http://www.ussrphoto.com/wiki/default.asp?WikiCatID=39&ParentID=4 for a list of books. I have one of them (attaching a few pictures to give you an idea of what's inside); it was available for download at some point.

An useful Lens FAQ on the KMZ website: http://www.zenitcamera.com/qa/qa-lenses.html

And a couple of catalogs hosted on my website: the GOI 1963 Catalog and the A. F. Yakovlev Catalog from 1970 Part 1 and Part 2.
Hope this helps.

Amazon hs the van Oosten book for $478 USD. It keeps going up like fine glass. 2 years ago it was $399.

Judging by the prices of Zenit camera lately, it seems there is renewed interest in Russian equipment.
A couple of years ago you could buy any of them for the little more than the price of postage. Now it seems that they go for the same as Spotmatics (not enough to break the bank, but they don't deserve to compete with them IMO). _________________ Casual attendance these days |

Damn, I should have asked Gerjan for more copies... I've actually met him often as chairman of the AOCN (Asahi Optical Club Nederland) and also on fairs, but I never see him anymore. I guess he's not really interested in Pentax anymore, or he's keeping himself low-profile. I do know he's giving some photo lectures every now and then... _________________ Peter - Moderator

Soviet cameras do not produce long, their number decreases and the price is determined by the collector's value, rather than functionality. In addition to the M42 Fujica like me more than the Zenit or Spotmatic. IMHO. _________________

It depends on which version of Amazon you refer to (and the one on the link is new)...
Cheers!

No, the one I'm looking at is definitely used. Even if it was new, its still steep!

I was referring to the book on Amazon.de which was linked in my own post: 218.90 Euros for a new copy which, although expensive, is still much cheaper than the $471.46 used copy on Amazon.com.
Cheers!

Hi Martin - just seeing your question now.
No, the source I saw definitely offered a PDF of the second edition of the guide _________________
