Yah that's quite ridiculous - but wonderful as well. I must take chance to go visit the next time I'm back in SEA.

Thank you Klaus for the compliments.

You can see a poor E-P1 attached to a Canon 50/0.95 here.

Here's one more taken today with this combo -- it's rather out of focus but, who cares Wink:

Cheers!

Abbazz is your Canon 50mm 0.95 using a c-mount adapter to micro 4/3 camera? Or are you using a M-mount converted Canon 50mm 0.95?
Great shots.

Great shots.

Thank you skyisland for the kind words.

I was in Paris last week with the Canon 50/0.95. Here are some Autumn impressions of the city:

I like shots 1 & 4, but really dislike the bokeh in 5, 6, 7, and 9. But certainly interesting too results from this lens!

interesting how the bokeh quality is really subjective, I really love bokeh on 5,6,7. looks like "planar" 3d feeling. You can't do bokeh like that in photoshop, but you can do a creamy (canon L) one:)

Thanks guys for the compliments.

The bokeh is rather "nervous" and the big Canon lens is quite soft with blurred corners when used wide open, but that's part of its character. From F/1.4 onwards, the lens behaves like any other 50mm lens with double Gauss design but, as you might have guessed, I don't carry a bulky F/0.95 lens to use it at F/1.4!

Cheers!

For me the bokeh is not a problem, rather it is the quite low contrast and desaturated colours in many of the pictures - obviously due to the very large aperture and front glass.
OK both of these things are easily fixable in computer. But I don't think I would use such a lens on film.

Excelent pics !!!!!!

Great and personal lens, with an exceptional character!!

I dream with two rangefinder's equipment:

Canon 7 with the lovely 0,95 lens

Leica M 4 with the super angulon 3,4/21 and summilux 1,4/75.

No more for me. Rino.

Thanks Rino. On film, the Canon 50/0.95 is a rather low contrast lens, but it is far from being so bad as many people say.

I also would love to have a Super-Angulon, but it has become a cult lens selling for crazy prices...

Cheers!
