I finally got to use my Spiratone 400mm f1:6.3 . For fun I thought I'd try to stay put with the tripod and pivot at various "targets" at the same distance. The results are great, I think I'm going to like this lens . . .

1: Blossoms on a Weigelia bush . . .

2: Bearded iris . . .

3: Japanese fan columbine . . .

Jim, 400mm, that's quite a long lens for garden shots, you must have a big garden! Very Happy

Congrats on your new lens, enjoy it. Smile

The backyard is big enough. Lana and I seem to believe its big enough for another flower bed or 2 Laughing She says it will cut down on the amount of grass I have to mow Rolling Eyes Laughing

Maybe in the cafe I'll give a small photo tour of this space.
