This is what I've been able to scan before my scanner went whacko:

1

2

5

6

8

The film is an Agfa Optima 100 expired since more than one year.
The colours held on very well, I'd say.
Optima was my preferred negative film colour until it was discontinued with the bankrupcy of Agfa.

One nice thing of the 645 is that it prints all data near the frame: type of film (120/220), ISO, shutter time, aperture, even the type of lens (P80 is for Planar 80).
Sort of an EXIF ahead of time Smile

I love them!

There's nothing to touch the MEDIUM - The tonality is great.

This combo will never let you down Smile

Zeiss lens on medium format shows its strength.

There are many VERY GOOD lenses for Contax 645 system.
This Planar 80/2 is one of them, and very fast as MF lens.

Thanks guys. I'm very sad that the Optima is not made anymore. I have, I think, two rolls left.

I guess a lot of guys here were waiting for these shots, Orio.

It must be great fun to walk around with such a machine and shoot on a format that is - as far as quality is concerned - so much ahead of the 135.

And the first results? I'd say more than promising.

I cross my fingers that you will find a scanner solution and thus can show us more images with your 645.

Great set, superb color rendition, outstanding sharpness, perfect framing. What else? Smile . Go out and enjoy your last rolls of Optima before they go bad.

Cheers, Marty.

Well done indeed Orio. They are well up to your high standards. The colour is amazingly good for film that out of date.

This is scanned with the proper holder, as you can see unfortunately it crops quite a bit, it seems important to center the film accurately so that it crops little from both sides instead of much from one side only:

Here's another one. I wonder why I get those magenta bars in the sky.

Really like #9! Depending on how curly the film is, it is sometimes a real
bee-otch to get the film centered where you have margin on both sides,
but is worth the extra trouble. The magenta bars are probably a "gift"
from the processing lab.

magenta in the sky really occurs in there. I think it's the film or developing process.
