Yesterday (Sunday) I attended a food photography workshop.
Here's some of the pictures that I took - all taken with the Planar 1.2/85 Contax (50 years series).
Note, the sets and lighting are not mine - framing, exposure, choice of DOF and colour treatment are.

#1

#2

#3

#4

#5

#6

Looks yummy...
I imagine there're lots of people shot at same object. and usually its' not easy with 85mm.

Thank you guys! Attila, I can not put these for sale, they are not 100% my work.
But that's a good idea about stock, I can make my own ones Smile

Iaza, when you want to make photos close up, you need tele lens, because to
make same framing you'd need to get too close with the 50mm and this would
cause deformation of foreground object (same reason why you normally use tele
lens for human portraits)

Amazing stuff indeed: I'd definitely buy the bread in #2.
And I love the color treatment in the first one.

Wonderful set, just a couple of side notes on 2 shots (the not mentioned are just perfect as they are, especially #6)

#2 maybe a larger dof to get the small cake more focused
#3 great colors and tones, just a pity that the cake is still in its sylicone stamp

Just wow. Number 2 is perfect for a food store catalogue Smile

Thanks guys, I'm happy that you like them, there were really just a little more than snapshots,
taken quickly amongst the crowd of partecipants, luskily with the time and the experience you gain
a sixth sense for the good angle and when it is not possible to work reasonably, you learn how to
work insinctively Smile

this is - one of many - genres I don't have any experience with
but what I can say is that I very much like the colors and tones, though in 'theory' the could be called 'cold' tones actually the photos look very 'soft, homely and warm'.

Very interesting comment, thanks! In fact, most people think it's the light temperature that makes a scene look "cold" or "warm",
but temperature is only a part of it and not the most important... it's the quality and direction of the light that really count.

Truly fabulous photos as usual, Orio!

But the most important question went unasked: did you get to eat any of it, especially Number 3, the frutti di bosco?

Great work. You should display it as stock. I wish I could add my gallery here. Go here Port Macquarie photographer to check out my gallery.

All Ok. Very good work. Congrats!!

Magic touchs in almost all of the images.

Only a little desagree for my taste, the first has a bit low contrast.
