Slowly, very slowly I get the chance to shoot with the X100 a little.
In this thread I will upload some shots.

Here are the first ones:

The Moiree is a result of resizing, as you can see in the 100% crop:

The X100 is a fantastic cam!
The images it produces are almost perfect out of cam in JPG!
No need for RAW if you don't want to.

And the second set when we went to buy some wonderful cheese at the "Brücker Mühle" today:

And my kids in great mood dancing on the bridge. Wink

This is a fantastic place where you can sit and eat or just buy some great "bio" food - mmmhhh... delicious!

Just some minor tonal corrections and sharpened after resizing, trying out JPG handling of Capture One 5.2.1 (which came free in a German magazine today!).

Carsten,
I see the last ones severly overexposed...
Is it intended??

Otherwise the first ones are really nice. The X100 seems to be a great cam.

Regards.
Jes.

Same here Carsten. Apart from the first one they do look very overexposed. But actually the first one in this series is the best colour I've seen in your pics with this camera. I know it has various different modes and maybe it's just my personal taste, but other pics have seemed rather thin and under-saturated to me.

Really like the kids' pic and the boy's shirt! Can't see where these are
over-exposed...now, if you posted these to every photography forum on
the internet, well, maybe then. Laughing

Love that first one, too, and the smell of roasting coffee beans!

Question Question Question

Something must be wrong somewhere!
None of these shots looks over-exposed on my screen, their colours are full and vivid. I am completely puzzled! Shocked

I will check on an other computer and other browsers...

last four pics have problem
if pics look ok, check the brightness/contrast of the lcd and if it doesn't help, throw it to the bin Wink

I see the same problem with last four ones mentioned by poilu, whether at work or at home. The ones in the first post look great!

Looks like the difference is that some pictures use the profile "Adobe RGB (1998)" color space and sRGB who looks good and some "Phase One Effects - Color view" color space who look overexposed (just in the browser) Wink

Otherwise, good series Very Happy

Looks like this in firefox:

Problem seems to be related to ICC settings ... First image (correct) is using "Adobe RGB (1998)", others use "Phase One Effects - Color View"

Thanks, guys!

I now can see the over-exposure here with Firefox and Win7 on my wife's laptop. I use Opera and Win XP Pro on my PC and there everything is alright. My display is prefectly adjusted!

I need to check and change the profiles, but I do not have a clue how that strange profile got into the image. Must be a problem with the standard devlopment of my free version of Capture One which I tried with those shots.

Firefox can use profiles, Opera doesn't or the other way around. Wink

I will change it this afternoon.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate your feedback!!
