Gentlemen, I took the chance of a morning off work to walk through the city of Marburg for an hour and shoot some images with the X100.

Here are some examples.
First set: RAW, developed in LR3, the odd crop, some highlight recovery and sometimes some black leveling. Not much pp, really. Shot between f/2.8 and f/5.6, f/4 mostly.

i really like the b&w set, tone, composition, the whole thing. those are obviously jpegs, but i note you shot raw. many reviews say its almost better to shoot jpegs with this cam, what has been your experience? how do you like it as a street photography tool? have you tried high iso, low light informal portraits?

So many I like from your stroll, what a street camera! I like the BW pix,
too, nicely done!

Carsten, are you going to be buying one of these?

Nice to see your city's everyday life, Carsten.
I don't know the camera that you have used, but I admit I lost track of all these new digital viewfinder models produced.

This cam is worth every penny! Such a fantastic cam!
And still I won't buy one. It's just too expensive for my taste, even if it worth it, it's a huge amount. And I own too many cams already to justify such an expense. Wink
Perhaps, if I lived in a city...

I know, expensive, but what results! Shocked The miniature cathedral in
front of the full size one is marvelous, and DEFINITELY doesn't look like
it came from a point and shoot!

Thanks for sharing!

the BWs have a plus-x feel to them; i especially like the bike shot.
