Some truly stunning shots!
Was looking at some of mine from this summer and this one I like. He ? was cleaning himself or perhaps drying up after something. Kept his wings in this odd position.
Pentax K-x, 21mm extensiontube, Tamron SP 35-80 at f8 with flash, 180/s ISO 100
The image is cropped to make it standing and then sized down to 1600width.
Some levels dragged in Lightroom but no photoshop.
EDIT: Changed the image for a brighter one. My monitor isnt the best..... or is it the eyes..

I am blown away by the quality of all the images in this section. I don't think there is one that could even be described as mediocre. You guys are awesome

Canon 5D mk2, 70-2-00 f2.8L lens at around 135, full set of Kenko extension tubes.
I'm exploring some ideas for so-called "fine-art" photography. The question is, would anybody want a huge print of this on their wall? Hmmm... perhaps not....
Sorry that it's an AF lens, but - of course - AF is switched off for this sort of shot. _________________ View or buy my photos at:

I could have a big copy of that on my wall for sure.
I really like closeups with a short dof like that. Hard to see if its sharp enough around the "head" and what ever it is called that its feasting on but if it is thats a very nice shot. |
