I 've got this beauty last week, but the seller did not know more about it.
Focusing range from 1 m - infinity, M36 screw mount, no apperture setting, no manufacture indication and only ' 3575/88387 ' to be found.
This lens has very low CA as you can see at the sample.
Does anyone here in forum knows more about it ?.
Every info would be appreciated.
Regards

I was gonna say it almost looks like an enlarger lens, but it looks as if it does not have an aperture ring, so that's out. I see it does have a focusing ring, though. My guess is it's some sort of process lens. No idea as to the manufacturer.

Well, there is a special story about that one.
Made by Pentacon for the former DDR STASI.
It is for a spy camera. There was a whole set
and the design allowed an aperture right in front
of the lens (which could also be a hole in a wall).
Actually quite good optics (I have a mint one
in box with a set of fixed apertures and a variable
iris which can be screwed in front). The numbers
given are the code numbers for these lenses; they
had no names other than that.

The optical quality is rather good (from my tests
with one lens as could have been expected from
that intelligence use)

The lens set comprised:
2.8/35mm
2.8/50mm
3.5/75mm
3.5/135mm
2.8/180mm Autofocus

There was also a motorized version of that camera,
this is why it has that coarse thread on the outside
("Zahnkranz" - I don'thave the english term handy)

Thanks for your quick information !
I suppose , pentacon didn't make it as so so lense for stasi. That's why I wonder about well build quality of it.
BTW, this lense can be use used with my 5D body (register distance 46mm) but need adapter for that javascript:emoticon('Rolling Eyes')
