I'm amazed at the results achieved yesterday by this lens on a 5d, the pictures speak for themselves.

Really very nice. I like the bokeh and colours.

Which version? Super? S-M-C? Auto? Or the oldest one?

Agree, I got one with SMC version.

This lens is known to be a superb performer. I have a couple of these - mainly mounted on old pentax bodies such as the S1a (which I adore.)They are a bit like the pre AI Nikkor 50mm f2.... cheap and under-rated by those who do not know just how excellent they really are as a shooter.

Sweet, it seems to make things more 3D...i guess it's a compact lens compared to the 1.8 and 1.4 fifties. Maybe having even less glass exposed to the sun is even less prone to flaring (for those who care)

Ah forgot to say, i love the colours
