This is 4th 1.2 lens what I did try, SMC TAKUMAR like this lens, Nikon is different and KONICA they have very swallow DOF , but less sharp wide open.

great results from the Tomika!
precise focus with the Nex, is it with focus peaking?

Thanks! Focus peaking + LCD magnifier view finder, focus peaking is not enough to me.

Thanks Attila for posting these. Very nice. I am surprised by the DOF thickness. The subject must be relatively far away. Selected scenes also bring the best out of lowlight capability.

As far as i tested on f1.4 lenses, Tomioka design favours thickness DOF but giving up some of the buttery bokeh. I might be wrong for f1.2. The bokeh on the f1.4 is hasher with slightly glowing ring, but use with awareness is ok. The pentax K50/1.2 and A50/1.2 might be sharper, but i think the DOF is also thinner. My zuiko 55/1.2 is not MC but i found it beautiful in some cases - I am sure this lens will give alot of play time.

More images please, if you have time...
Thanks for these lovely photos.

I have a DOF calculator on my phone on SONY NEX with an 55mm lens with 1.2, subject distance is 12m. Near focus limit is 10.9m far focus limit 13.292 . This is explain it why you can't see what did you expect very narrow DOF like on close-up shoots. Sharp area in this case more than 2m..

If subject distance is 1m , Near focus limit 0.992 m , sharp area only 0,016m Far focus limit 1,008 m

Surprisingly good for wide open.
I had this lens also for a long time. I loved it on film.
The large rear element created reflections when using my 5D (original 5D).
It's nice to see how well it is performing for you. Such a well made lens too!
