Recently I developed several glass plates that came with a 4x5 Montauk and a 5x7 Conley that were over 100 years old. Out of 6 glass plates, three had wonderful images of family portraits from the turn of the century (1908 - 1914). Thus the glass plates served as a time capsule of sorts. I would bet if you were to take pictures with film and put these in a time capsule with pictures taken with a digital camera with its memory card, the images on the film would be reasonably good but the memory card may have no reader 100 years from now since the technology is changing so fast.
