From my researchs, there are 6 ways to distinguish them :

- V2 weighs 470g (444g for V1)
- V2 has 35m before infinity on the focus scale (30m for V1)
- V2 has a catalog number (under the A/M switch) of 43812 (43802 for V1)
- V2 has 8 aperture blades (6 for V1)
- V2 has a "4" on dof scale (diamond on V1)
- Thanks to Gerjan van Oosten : V2 has serial number ranging from N° 6138465 - 8203248 (4723512 - 5848208 for V1)

Both V1 and V2:

Lens has M42 screw mount.

Exact lens ring text is

"Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR 1:2.5/135 nnnnnnn ASAHI OPT. CO., JAPAN"
where nnnnnnn is a 7-digit serial number.
