I found some lenses in X-mount and marked as "Porst" (I think Porst could be European Vivitar-like company, right?) but both the focal length and the wide-open aperture are same as the Fujica X-mount lenses, maybe the coating of the two lenses are the same too? anyone could provide the answer will be very appreciated. Wink

Porst was a German photo retailer. Some of their X mount lenses are rebadged Fujinons and Fujinars, but they also sold some third party stuff in X mount.

The 1.6/55 X-Fujinon is a great lens, the 1.6/50 I had was poor, the worst 50 I've owned. The 1.9/50 is okay, the 2.2/55 is not very good imho. The 1.9/50 and 2.2/55 don't have the EBC coating, which is the strong point of the Fujinons. The 28mm X-Fujinon is very nice, but theX-Fujinar is nothing special, it's made by someone other than Fuji, I think Komine as there's a very similar looking X-Kominar. The 100 and 135mm X-Fujinons are very nice.

I bought a 50/1.6 a short while ago, I find it's MFD is too long @.6m, and it had fungus, so it will be going back, images looked ok.
According to this site, there is no 55/1.6(there is in m42).

I think I may just get the 50/1.2 or the 55/3.5 macro to go with my just received 28/1.9.

Porst 2.8/28mm and 2.8/135 X-M GMC are made by Komine and the cheaper options.. you will also find them as Kominar (X-Kominar-W 2.8/28 DM and X-Kominar-T 2.8/135 DM) or X-Fujinar. Other lenses like the Porst Color Reflex 1.2/50 X-M UMC are the same lens as the x-Fujinon and build by Fuji (in this case the x-Fujinon EBC 1.2/50).

Well, that site is wrong then, I have had them both as X-Fujinons.

The 1.6/55 is larger and better built, the 1.6/50 replaced it and was cheaper in build quality and worse in image quality - mine had a lot of CA, even at f4.

The Fujinon-X 50/1.6 isn't too bad as long as you don't shoot wide open:

I suspect mine was a bad copy, heavy CA is just too out of the ordinary for a 50mm prime. Smile

Good to know, I'll keep an eye out for one. Thanks.
Trying to decide which lens I want starts to become a challange when all the lens lists are incomplete... Sigh.

Good luck hunting!

X-Fujinons are very rare here in the UK, the 1.9/50 and 2.2/55 are common, but none of the others are seen very often at all.
