I could live with that I had to pay £65 for a Canon 55/1.2 and that was in FD mount Where's my screwdriver

Found the way in There is a single large screw on the main barrel, visible in this image, which is the focus stop. Take out this screw (VERY SOFT BRASS!!!) and the whole front of the lens comes off after abut 100 turns. This gives access to the back of the front lens and the front of the mirror. Fungus EVERYWHERE !!!!! If I get it clean, I'll post another shot of the number plate as a comparison. |
