The FL 3.5/135 is equally good! A fantastic lens. Search for it here.
This is the lens I sell at the moment, BTW.

Together with other FL lenses for ridiculously low prices.

Thanks for the info about Canon FD & FL.
Do they hit mirror on EOS 5D? My 55/1.2 SSC does.

I love the size and handling of the Olympus 135mm f3.5 on my NEX5N but it is single coated and pretty soft even stopped down a bit. I have found the Hexanon 135mm f3.2, Hexanon 135mm f3.5 and Fujinon-T EBC 135mm f3.5 to be excellent alternatives. The Hexanon f3.2 version is my favorite and will focus a good bit closer than the others. One should also consider the Canon nFD 135mm f2.8 as it is about the same size as the Olympus, has a integral hood and is a bit faster. All of these lens can be found in excellent condition on the auction for under $50.

If price is not a factor one should also consider the Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135mm f3.5. It is very sharp and has gorgeous broken. The build quality, however, is lacking IMHO.

Many good images samples for all of these lenses can be found on flickr

Love the Zuikos. Such a pleasure to use and rewarding results.

Yes, the Zuiko 135 is a sweet lens. I bought a fungused one for next to nothing and cleaned it up, it's one of my favourites now.

I picked one up for £5 but the aperture is faulty, a lovely small lens but i can't use it stopped down smaller than about f5.6 on my NEX and its useless on the OM1

Excellent sharpness though thats for sure.

I found some instructions to strip it down, and importantly - put it back together. Wink I've probably saved them, I'll look tomorrow.

found them, I had a sudden burst of inspiration......Laughing
