I have Tmaron 28-70 one. it has macro mode.
Did You used macro mode on close objects?

in these samples i didn't use macro mode(maybe that bug on a leaf) , but on other photos i did and it's a handy feature with minimal focus distance of 25cm. i even used it with +10 Hama diopter lens and got pretty good results
