Was offered a nice buy now for €40 a few days ago, so I did not much hesitate.

From all photos available the lens looked a bit neglected but not exactly roughly treated.

Now it will have a fine, dignified retirement Very Happy

Sorry for rather bad pics due to bad light conditions.

I am most probably keeping the lens, as I value 180mm on the right to be an unexpected bokeh butterfly miracle. Could be the very same situation. After some cleaning, the optics is great again!

To have one of every era, I start to lurk for 250mm prewar silver.

And I am not surprised whatsoever!

Besides you probably own 50% of global lens population, you seem to have similar appetite for lens, which in fact means your appetite is damn good Very Happy !

Do you still love/use the lens? From browsing this site, I remember you to praise the lens as "small and pocketable" Smile

(But hey, I do believe my Tele-Tessar 180mm from 30s has even better size/weight vs. milimeter ratio)

I used it only a little bit as I have to use a film SLR.
I did not change infinity to use on Pentax.

What did you use to polish ?

Do you disassemble the lens before cleaning? If not, how do you ensure the paste does not gets inside the lens?

No, I simply had to pay attention not to do so

Besides, the pasta is OK

Btw guys, of course the lens has classic very crazy Telemegor bokeh. Using max 10-15 min due to not having enough time today, it actually pleased me even more than Pancolar 80 I obviously paid much more for

Good job on your Telemegor, Marek!

Whereas Pancolar 80mm delivered me superb optics and optimal portrait proportions, Telemegor brought classic Meyer wilderness, trippy bokeh and fun. Lots of fun.

Definitely not sharpness, since it's just as bad as in case of other well-known "wideopen-only" Meyers. Another trouble clearly comes from f5.5. Everything is just dark and less blurred. For me, bokeh is even nicer than Trioplan 100, as I compared both today. Finding optimal distance from the object in front of the OOF area is generally harder.

Still, if I'd have to sell one of those, I chose Pancolar. Except - I don't have to Cool

Result - another cheap forgotten lens than behaves really crazy.

As I had a suspicion in winter already, the Telemegor 150 is very crazy indeed.

Definitely brings fun! Not very sharp lens, but very contrasty with a bit aggressive but cool bokeh.

This week I found another lens its bokeh pleased me very much so - Tessar 50mm M42, 14 blades version I unfortunately had only for 1-2 days, as the item was reserved to be sold.

I'm putting the shot here as I really won't start a thread for one bokeh porn.

I find MFD of Telemegors to be their weakest spot, not the sharness or slowness. So I bought M42 version instead of EXA (I had even two 150mm EXA versions for some time) that I find to be easier to use with rings. Without rings the lens hardly reach average butterfly detail on a reasonable level due to below average MFD and sharpness and I find EXA tubes to be too slow on Canon.

Besides, the M42 item looks just damn good which is kind of unusual for those small scarce lens.
