I like 200mm lenses, I use them a lot. I like that Vivitar as well, it looks like a decent performer. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Those results look extremely good.
Strangely, I was out this morning with my old standard Vivitar 3.5/200 from Komine with the eight bladed aperture.
Not the variety of your shots, and maybe not quite as sharp as yours either, but still a pleasing lens to use.
Here are some images from it.

Great samples, I still remember for first moments with Vivitar 200mm f3.5 , mine was Tokina made. It was shockingly good and later I did found very hard to find less good 200mm f4 lenses, luckily we can find only excellent and even better ones. _________________ -------------------------------

Remarkable shots from that preset version. Love the orange flower image, wow.
I also have the Komine f/3.5 version. I think it's a great lens and plenty sharp. _________________ "The eyes are useless when the mind is blind."

Agree wonderful photos! But not unusual for you.
Retrieved my own copy of this lens. I have Serial #69554 and, yes, 18 blades. It is very tough to know who made lens because this series pre-dates the Vivitar numbering system. |
