Mounted on 5D MkII.
It's a very fine zoom lens with micro abilities : 1:4 ratio when at 28mm using the macro button.
It's sharp and colourful, easy to use and smooth.

Some good shots in there. I like the snail best.

Thank you both.

Moïra, weather was grey but these Tamrons render colors well. Smile

Martin I had to turn around him and kneel down to be close to the floor and have an interesting point of view. You know, Haley's macro shooting position. Smile

Thank you Roman.
Your finding it great as shown on my photos, tends to prove that it's not an exception. Wink

Yes, it is not a fast lens with its opening of f:4.
But it is very versatile : 28mm to 135mm with F4.
Not enough for portrait ? Well, in fact we have the ability to come closer to our subject with the macro button and, doing so, obtain a shorter depth of field with a quite nice bokeh.

Could you share some of your photos here ?
There are not a lot around. Smile

Hi Olivier, nice series with this lens. Seems that we actually use the same lenses.

Everything ok ?

Results look good, I also like the snail Smile

I owned this lens once but it was a total wreck Sad Maybe I'll buy one in the future.

The snail pic is my favourite. Another lens I can recommend is the Tamron SP 35-210mm. I was quite surprised by this lens. This lens has a nice macro setting as well (see http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?t=51469 for some pictures).

Yes, Rolf, same lens and evrything's under control. Very Happy
What about you ?

Thank you Diddy. This 35-210mm seems very good too.

Shrek, sure you should. How is your Tamron collection ?
Do you appreciate snails in your plate with a good Bourgogne bottle ? Wink

The more I see of Tamron's, and the more I use the few I've got, the more I'm liking them. Cool

I really like this one, Olivier. Is the Canon 5D2 a full frame dslr?

Thanks a lot. Smile

As pictures disappeared from the server with the server disks' crash, I looked at my past topics and reloaded the ones I had kept in storage. So, decided to tell it and that made the topic come back to surface...
