Tamron SP 13A 24-48 @24mm on SONY A7

Took a stroll around Princeton late afternoon yesterday with my Tamron 13A SP 24-48mm. Shot some late fall landscape images on my A7. The lens has the factory hood and a polarizing filter. Although I probably should not use a polarizer on a wide angel like the 13A, fortunately only a few pictures had uneven sky. All shots are at aperture F/11.

Nice Shots! I do have the same lens in very good condition, and also the A7...but haven't tried it yet. Wink Today my Yashica ML 28-50/3.5 arrived, and from it's weight, it's feel & haptics, it could have been easily a Contax Zeiss Zoom...very nice, but i won't try to use it without the matching 72mm HD Hoya UV Filter...or B+W equal, the lens is into mint, pristine condition, like new.

The Polarizer into your pictures is clearly visible. Btw, there's a new Firmware 1.10 for the A7 out - i've updated today, went through without issues. Very Happy Cool

I guess you'd agree with me that these old lenses do have something special...hard to describe, but the way they're rendering the pictures...is different from today's totally clean & technical lenses...i like the old mf lenses way much.

I completely agree. I like lens rendering that isn't technically perfect/correct. The Adaptall Tamron SP lenses are well build and fairly decent across the board. I have 7 of them now and is looking for the last few.

I see...i do only have the SP 24-48, which was hard to find, especially in a way good condition, for a not too heavy price. I paid 80 EUR for it, with lens hood (otherwise you can't use a filter) and lens quiver.
