Hello everybody,

Today, I adapted this projector lens to my Nex-3 (won't cover FF, but cover without problem APS-C). I had to trim the rear part in order to put the lens very close to sensor (in order to get infinity). I use an helicoidale adapter to focus from close focus to infinity.

Well, as expected, result is pretty soft, but we can find them for less than 5 euros in Ukraine, so no big deal (got mine for 2 euros). Made by IPZ factory, but other factory made them, especialy Lenkinap during early years (I have one of them, without coating, apparently).

Still, I kind of like the dreamy results. More samples will come later...

Looking at 1 & 3 - I wish I had one to paint dreams... Wink
On another thought: portrait with this lens might be interesting.

I like it, it has a style that can be used creatively, like pavko says, you can 'paint dreams' with a lens like this.

I also have them adapted, and have much sharper copies (samples in raw will be provided) fitted with focusing helicoid for eur50+Postage.

Can you please show how did you mounted it to NEX.

I've got 2 of those: one old PO109-1 from Lenkinap and looks single coated and one newer 109-1A multi coated but with missing front element. Let see which one can be better Smile

I also have both Smile But on Lenkinap was missing rear element, was not usable.
You can fit it into a medium M42 macro ring. I fixed it with 3 flat screws on it. But to be able to focus farer than macro, you'll need to cut/trim the rear protubing part at the maximum (to the point where beging the ring which block the rear lens.
Then, mount on an helicoidal mount on flat M42. You're done Smile

My lens is already cut at the back and it was mounted on a huge chunk of aluminum.

Hello. Some tips to make it work on DSLR? I have a similar lens, a russian PO-109, 50mm f1.2, with the helicoid adapter and the rear end trimmed, and works fine in micro 4/3, but in APS-C (Canon 50D), I can´t focus further than 20 cm. Seems that the sensor is too far from lens, even with the lens trimmed. Any help? Thanks in advance.

There isn't any way to go further : mirror is here. As you already understood, the lens is too far from sensor.
