Hi all, I was researching a potential lens buy which brought me to this forum and its amazing depth of information.

So I got to thinking about who made my Soligor 80-350 f3.5

It has a different serial number to any I have been able to find here - 7709009

Then, looking through ebay at lenses I found this

It has a similar number, can I assume that my Soligor is a Tokina made lense from 1970? The ebay lens is a push/pull affair different fl etc.

Any thoughts?

Ah sweet, thanks for that - I've just spent the last 20 minutes reading page sources and editing the topic trying to figure out why the images were showing up in the preview but not the post!

Thanks

Ben

Tokina 70/220 well know under soligor name (c/d and not c/d versions)

The Soligor 80/200 3.5 was part of the very first c/d batch in ~1974
It was also sold under miranda ee/ec name

I would presume manufactured by makinon (makinon had a same specs/size 80/200 3.5)
