a very cheap lens, really soft at f8, much better in f11
Instead of writing, here's some photos, so yo can make your own opininion.
All of them were shoot on Pentax K200, raw, processed in LR, sharpening mask and noise reduction on photosop

Those are excellent results! Thanks for sharing. Have you a picture of the lens itself? |

These are really very beautiful images with great sharpness, colours and bokeh. Good to see that such a cheap lens can produce this IQ. Thanks for sharing.

I have two of these Soligor 450/8 lenses, a Sun made 27xxxxx serial lens (which is very soft wide open) and a Tamron made version which with a Txxxxxx serial, which is much better IMO. I would be interested to find out which version you have. _________________ Graham - Moderator

I have this version, the "silver ring" preset series. I think the guys here figured out these were made by Sun.
Mine is very poor at f/8. Rather disappointing.
I had the Komine version also, that was better but still soft.
Looking for the Tamron version to complete my early Tamron collection. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

My apologies, I don't have a Kino version, it's the same Sun version that I have with a 27xxxxxx serial number. I've edited my post above.
You seem to have much better results than I have managed _________________ Graham - Moderator

Nice results for your good efforts.
I believe that "tornillo" translates as the "screw". In this case it might be the "screw mount" or "screw block". |
