Just some close up shots of this lens, as I have seen on this forum there are a few different versions of the Soligor 4.5/250.It is has both front and back glass covered with a blue coating.

Soligors use to be nice lenses, and are quite underrated.
I own a 200mm 2.8 in AR mount and it performs really well, although it's a little heavy.:

(Some samples here)

Have you been able of testing it?. I'd like very much to see some samples taken with it... Wink

Regards.
Jes.

Hi Mo. You have the early Tamron-made model. This is one of the very first, original Tamron T-mount lenses.
Soligor started selling these in the early 1960's I think - maybe 1962 ?

You can tell because it looks just like the one on the Adaptall site -

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.tamron.co.jp/data/old-lens/olm250f4_5.htm

And because it has the "T" serial number. All the "T" Soligors seem to be of the original Taisei/Tamron preset T-mount series.

That site dates this to 1963, but who knows.
Anyway, it seems Allied Impex/Soligor liked the series enough to get some of the other makers to create their own versions.

Thanks for the confirmation that it is an Early Tamron. It came with the Angenieux 28/3.5 and Cassar 2.8/50 and a very nice looking Edixa Flex Camera.
