Looks best in F8, like the 35mm you showed. But the bokeh is not that nice, I think.

I have the same lens, but mine is in Nikon mount.
So far, it is my favorite lens.
Sample of pictures which I took using this lens is here

I am looking at buying one now but it may be a Canon mount as the seller said it has CA on the mount,it looks older than this one and has the black aperture ring and the serial starts with an H. I hope it may be an interchangeable mount but so far it does not look good.

I have its Vivitar sibling, bought last month or the month before... and the Soligor 105 which I really enjoy. Nice results you get.

I bought one of these lenses for the princely summ of £3 at the Wolverhampton Camera Fair sometime last year, and it's a lens that I enjoy using as the results seem to be far better than Soligors generally poor reputation.

For £3 the lens is in very decent condition, it looks well used but the optics are spotless and fungus free and the aperture blades are clean and free.
I scored a bargain for a change.

I've tried linking to my Flickr page to show some Soligor pictures but so far I can't make the links work. I'll try again later.

Hello Lloydy.

It's perfect that Soligors have bad reputation.
There far better than their reputation and that keeps them cheap. Wink

Thank you Nesster.

I like this lens so much. The rendering is very similar to my mamiya/sekor 2,8/135 in the TL version (not SX). Colder side images with very good sharpness. Sharp at wide open too.

One of the best soligors.

Thanks for sharing.

Rino.

That's nice Moira !
Sure, post a photo of the lens here and few sample shots if you please.
Very Happy

Hello Rino.
I don't see what this Mamiya Sekor looks like.
I'm really happy with its results.
Thanks.

Ohhh !
That rocks !
They're splendid with a little cold tone on the graveyard ones, and warm colours very well caught on the "railingfinial".

Where are you from Lloydy ?
Wales, Ireland ?

Smile

I live in Ironbridge, Shropshire, a very photogenic part of the world. But I am Welsh and my wife's Irish, you must have psychic powers!

The cross in the graveyard was taken in a blizzard along with some using the Pentax autofocus lens, which didn't work at all as it was focusing on the falling snow at random. Sometime MF is the answer.

I'm going out today and am taking my Pentax K10 along with the Soligor, a Helios 44M and maybe a pair of old Vivitar MF zooms. I like the MF stuff, it makes me concentrate.

My soligor arrived this morning 2.8/135 solid barrel like lens.It came with a metal hood and I noticed the back lens is yellowish and flat not curved like some are is this a cheap design?
