Sigma 400mm Non-APO?

I was looking at the APO version of this lens, and was wondering how good the non-APO is, since i've seen more of them around than APO. I know Apochromats reduce chromatic abberation, but I'm unsure of how much an impact it will make on this lens.

I had Sigma 400mm f5.6 without APO, great , sharp light weight lens I love pretty much. I had to sold because i have to much money in lenses I am planning to buy again.
