Smile, Yes, the Robot lenses are 26mm screw mount.

1.600.000 is reported in the link below as September 1939.
1,800,000 as June 1942.

Like 1 I have this lens in robot mount that needs work its old black finish peeling. I also have one in the AKA mount. I had a akarelle I stole the mounting flange from to make an AKA m42 adapter, but have yet to finish the project. Is this lens the version with heavy brass with polished chrome?

To be precise, there are two other Robot mounts, both interrupted thread breechlock mounts, the 31mm diameter Robot Royal mount and a rare 45mm diameter mount Robot used on a few of the last digital cameras they made. I have a modern version of your lens, a 75mm f/3.8 in Robot Royal mount. I now use a 31mm-M39 adapter in a focussing helicoid to give me an extended focus range on my Sony A7.

Thank you for clarifying these. I use a Robot 26mm to Sony E adapter directly mount to my Sony A7r, the adapter also designed for extra few millimeter extension, so brings the min. focus distance closer.

This is what the modern version looks like, it was produced in 2000 according to its Schneider serial number. These exist in both M26 and Robot Royal mount. I don't own any M26 Robot lenses currently, but be careful which type you get when using full frame cameras. I once owned both an M25 (C mount) and Robot Royal version of a 150/4 Tele Xenar, and the C mount vignetted severely on my Sony A7, whereas the Robot Royal lenses of 75mm and up are free from vignetting. Is your M26 7.5cm free from vignetting at infinity focus on full frame? Also, is the aperture wide open at f/3.8? On mine the blades are still visible. I have heard rumors that these could be made to open completely, but I haven't tried that yet.

The options for adapting that I can see are ready made adapters from Kipon and Pixco, the Pixco being about one third cheaper, or fashioning something based on my LTM-Fuji X adapter, as it provides a 28.8 flange focus distance, not too far from the 31mm (I think), for the Robot.

Could you say what you are using cellotone?

Can anyone else chip in?

Thanks cellotone. Even importing from the U.S.A, it's still cheaper than the Kipon.

Which one couldn't focus to infinity?

Don't remember the seller, but I remember it says "not sure whether it works with Sony A7R, A7R II..." Price wise was less expensive than the one I bought later. Both were shipped from China.
