Made only for Kodak Retina cameras. The optical design of the Eurygon 35mm f/4.0 is similar to the Eurygon 30mm f/2.8.

Although the front element looks uncoated to my eyes, the lens does not flare easily. The contrast of this lens is surprisingly high compared to the other 1950s 35mm lenses I have tried. The resolution is not bad but it will never be as sharp as the other more modern 35mm lenses..

There is some field curvature and astigmatism observed on the edge. Extreme corners are always fussy. Overall, this is a good 35mm of its time that is highly collectible.

The samples below are converted from raw to jpeg using the standard profile with no cropping in Adobe Lightroom. Charity and vibrance both set to +16. Click to enlarge the photos.

Definitely a nice rendering, it recalls me the similar Skoparex 1:3,4 35 mm from Voigtlander

I don't have experience with the Skoparex. I think the Skoparex should have better than the Eurygon in the center.

Looks great! There's also the Polaroid MP3 Rodenstock Eurygon 35 mm f/4...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/175280631131

Do you know if that's the same/similar lens design?

I own a copy of the MP3 Rodenstock Eurygon too. It is a completely different lens with much shorter flange focal distance.

not bad .. it has some suptile character

great size for a mirrorless, however pity for a focal distance

First off those are some good shots! Seems like a fine lens. And the cacti bokeh is so pleasing to the eye.

Thank all!

I would like to add the iris of my copy can't be opened completely. If anyone owns this lens, please let me know if your copy behaves the same.

Thanks for sharing the lens sections too! Since old German lens sections often are designed in a slightly confusing way, I have re-created them showing the real sections:
