This afternoon I took my Robot Royal Schneider Kreuznach (Tele) Xenars to the local arboretum. Taken with my Sony A7, wide open and at f/5.6:

Robot Royal Xenar 37.5 mm f/2.8 at f/2.8

Robot Royal Xenar 37.5 mm f/2.8 at f/5.6

Robot Royal Xenar 45 mm f/2.8 at f/2.8, slightly misfocussed

Robot Royal Xenar 45 mm f/2.8 at f/5.6

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 75mm f/3.8 at f/3.8

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 75mm f/3.8 at f/5.6

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 90mm f/3.8 at f/3.8

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 90mm f/3.8 at f/5.6

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 100mm f/2.8 at f/2.8

Robot Royal Tele-Xenar 100mm f/2.8 at f/5.6

And as a comparison two other small lenses I had in my bag:

Leitz Summicron CL 40/2.0 at f/2.0:

Leitz Summicron CL 40/2.0 at f/5.6

Schneider Kreuznach Xenoplan 28/2.0 at f/2.0:

Schneider Kreuznach Xenoplan 28/2.0 at f/5.6:

Clearly not intended for full frame cameras, but a remarkably large image circle.

And some close ups of flowers underneath the trees, scilla if I'm not mistaken, all wide open.

Thanks. There are also a 30mm lens, a 40mm f/1.9 and a 50mm f/1.9 - not sure what size the image circle of those lenses are. I used to have a rare 110mm and a relatively large 150/4 tele-xenar, but in a fit of reason I sold those as I hardly ever used those. At the moment I'm also selling a copy of the 90mm and a 100mm. I bought a few of these on a camera show and I'm slowly realizing that having multiple copies of the same lens is excessive..

Hi dickb, finding information on these lenses online is very difficult. Don't suppose you could let me know the length and weight of both the 90mm f/3.5 and 100mm f/2.8 Tele-Xenars?

Sure. My versions are the Robot Royal (31mm interrupted screw) versions designed for the Traffipax system of traffic cameras. They may differ a few grams from the Robot Star 26mm screw variants

Schneider Xenar 45mm f/2.8 Dimensions: 47 mm x 35 mm Weight: 122 g
Schneider Tele Xenar 75mm f/3.8 Dimensions: 47 mm x 48 mm Weight: 141 g
Schneider Tele Xenar 90mm f/3.8 Dimensions: 48 mm x 52 mm Weight: 141 g
Schneider Tele Xenar 100mm f/2.8 Dimensions: 74 mm x 53 mm Weight: 336 g
Schneider Tele Xenar 150mm f/4.0 Dimensions: 103 mm x 45 mm Weight: 255 g

If you are wondering why I have these data formatted this way, I have been selling a few of these on eBay. I'll likely list some of these again soon.

I have had RafCamera make me some adapters for Robot Royal to M39 or more precisely LTM. I use these on a helicoid Leica M - Sony E adapter, with a LTM Leica M adapter. The helicoid makes it a nice compact close focussing combination.

I should have a 37.5mm 2.8 somewhere around here as well, and a rare 110 f/4.5, I'll list their dimensions in a later post.
