Same subject with a range of selected apertures.
Then some different subjects - mostly wide open.

Thank you Klaus.
I wish I had some more varied subject matter to help show off this lens a little better.
Perhaps at the weekend ..........

I quite enjoy your flower and fauna shots OH. They always deliver the bokeh.

Thanks Klaus.
The last were not what this lens was designed for.
Midday @ 38 degrees C in Australian sunshine - haha.
I wanted to see how it would perform under worst case scenario.
Big lens hood of course.

Of the first series, I especially like the bubbly bokeh on #5 and the composition of #7. You sure do have some nice flora in your location.

The first set is of a difficult subject, the white flowers are always going to be a pain to expose perfectly, it's a job for PP. But the lens does well, as indeed does the photographer.
The second set was tempting fate. reds can bleed together horribly, but again the pictures are good. I'd say it's a keeper. Wink

Fuji Provia X400 simulation on Sony A6000, no sharpening applied.

This lens is really hard to master (well I guess every 1.2 manual lens is...) but when the focus is nailed it has all the sharpness I need.

Yes, it is a good lens, but as you have discovered - it can be difficult to learn to focus at widest aperture.
I struggled with mine for some time before we became friends.
Thanks for sharing this image

I purchased this lens about five years ago, and right after that, I sold the Pentax-A 50/1.2. I really like this lens and can focus without problems. I recently purchased another copy of the Pentax-A 50/1.2 and I wanted to sell it, until I discover that it was not the lens fault. So, I learned to focus with the Pentax and love it. However, I do not want to part with this Revuenon. I also have the Porst 50/1.2, third in line in terms of quality.

Here are some samples of them:
