Only the inscriptions "35mm 1:2.8" and "Made in Japan". T-mount with T2-M42 adapter ring. Preset diaphragm with two rings. I think it's very old Tokina, made for the some incomprehensible distributor. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of this lens - I sold it about a year ago. But I once met with very similar lens under the name of Soligor.

Lovely stuff!
And a fascinating place.

If it weren't so difficult to get around, Siberia and the rest of the Russian east seems like a very fresh place for landscape photographers.

As for the lens - truly, they just have to be good enough. Beyond a rather basic minimum. There is so much else thats more important.

Most of Soligors were made by Sun Optics Co., some are great, some so-so.

Later Soligors, from the late 1970s-early 80s, were often Suns (not always though), but before that, they were from a very wide range of makers.

A preset 35mm (late 1950s-early 1970s) Soligor could be any of at least 7 and maybe more makers. Using common trademark names -

Tokina (quite common)
Tamron (early 1960s)
Kyoei (early 1960s)
Kawanon
Kiron
Sun
Sankor

And more, probably.

The lens, which is not a pity to throw on the sand - Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Laugh 1

Soligors with marking C/D were computer designed, are of excellent quality, it was the Suns response to Vivitar Series 1.
Also an old preset 135/2,8 is one of my best 135 lenses.
