The mechanical shutter on my Olympus OM1n is inconsistent at lower speeds - you can hear that the "whirring" (for want of a better term) which the camera uses to keep time stops and starts, such that the shutter closes after about a second of whirring, but the gaps can push the actual time it's open nearer to 2 seconds.

It's rare for me to use such low speeds, so in practical day to day usage I can live with it, however if I can fix it I'd obviously like to have a fully working camera.

I wonder if it's just a dirt/lubrication issue , but I worry that the relevant mechanism will be hard to access.
