I've got an Angenieux 135/2.5 lens in Exakta mount, very nice one... Unfortunately, it has some internal haze and I can't figure out how to disassemble it for cleaning. There are no screws on the rear mount or the barrel. I wonder if anyone here knows a secret how to start dismantling it? |

Generic advice: most lenses do come apart from the front of the lens, first you take off the nameplate. The screws under focusing rubber / ring are usually for focus adjustment, don't touch them unless you know what you are doing. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

Looks like there is a tiny screw that locks the front ring (picture 3). After that you are on your own. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

Oh yes, thanks! I have removed this screw and was able to unscrew the front element. And that was it. The next one did not have any ring with grooves to apply the spanner wrench to and nothing that my rubbber tools could grip well enough.
But it seems that you may be right, the path to the back for this lens is through the front. I got used to other lenses where you dismantle front and back independently, meeting in the middle. |
