Hi, did you post process the picture ?
If not, it's very clear and sharp.
Thank you for sharing.

Have you a picture of the lens itself ? Smile

It might be similar to this lens, which is the later QC multicoated version

The inexpensive (US$8.50, feb2011) non-AI version of this lens surprises me too! One of the better 135/3.5 lenses, imho, nice colors and sharp! Excellent price/performance ratio too, I think the price stays low because there are so many of these in the World. Wink Movements are a little sloppy compared to the tight and precise Takumar build -- some of these are loose from being well-used, which usually indicates a good optical copy. Wink The 200/4 non-AI (US$16.50, apr2010) is also very good!

The lens has been AI"D and has had very little use. I paid $30 dollars for it.

8.5 bucks for a Nikon lens? And then another 30 to make an AI'd of it that kept the ears of the non-AI'd one? Sir, thou art a very lucky man!

One of several bargain Nikkors.
I'm not surprised by the prices, this one isn't very fashionable.
But it is very good.
And of course there is no bad 135, especially a 3.5.

This is a special 135, with a very storied past.

It's the last nikkor sonnar, was the longest unchanged nikkor formula and made in 5 mounts.

DDD made this lens famous in Korea. LIFE had it bench tested against the competition in the 50's and it smoked them all, both in sharpness and consistency.

The "C" on mine means it was made for the Contax mount:

David Duncan is now 100, one of the last living greats of that era:

His interest in Nikkor after seeing a candid from the 85/2, resulted in the penetration of the American Market for the first time by a Japanese Camera company.

Duncan began with the 135/4 but quickly switched to the newer F/3.5 by 1951. Note in the article the 135/3.5 is singled out for it's excellent color correction
