Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot. |

The "Ц" would hardly translate to a C. It would be a TS. Maybe they were officially named "25C" for export? There's quite a list of lenses never mass produced for the Zenit 4,5,6 series. While the Jupiter is probably the more interesting one there's also the Mir 1TS, Helios 65, Tair 38TS, and T-200TS. |

I wonder if it's possible to adapt these lenses for the leaf shutter Zenits? The mount is close to the DKL mount but not identical. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I adapted it. You can use DKL mount, but focal flange is short than DKL. So I just use DKL to M42 mount, and then use an M42-M42 helicoide to adjust the right distance between lens and sensor.
You can only do that on mirroless.
Those lenses are pretty rare. Exepted for the Mir 1, the other designs looks original, they are not usual lenses with other mount.
But the less rare lens (Vega-3 50mm/2.8 ) is a really great lens. _________________ Pierre

Cheers, good to know. You have full aperture control with the DKL adapter? _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Yes, I bought the cheapest chineese adapter, aperture control works, but it's a bit stiff (because of the adapter quality). It's a bit tricky to mount it (adapter has to be set on wide open or close down, don't remember), but then, it's ok.
Remember that on DSLR, it won't focus (lens will be past infinity on the most part of the lenses focus range) (or macro only if you use helicoide) _________________ Pierre

Thankyou. I use Schneider dkl lenses on my a850 and like them a lot, but with the infinity issue it sounds like I won't be adding the Russians, sadly. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
