Need a how-to-do instructions to take apart Konica Hexanon AR 50mm F1.7 Serial Number: 7953221
It looks like that it has some oil on aperture blades. Sometimes it stop but sometime not... Just sticky and with light shake it does open and close.
Or does someone here on the forum has experience with cleaning those ones and lives in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and is willing to help...
Thanks! |
I've not yet disassembled either of my Hexanon 50mm/1.7s. But I have done two of the 52mm/1.8s which might be similar (not sure)
Biggest problem was the extreme tightness of some of the key threads. I could not move them. Tried solvent. Was able to break through a little. One rear doublet was so tight I needed a monkey wrench to break it loose. That is a plumber's wrench!!
These Konica prime lenses are straightforward to disassemble if they come apart. They are not overly complex. Trouble is, they don't always want to come apart. I think some of the threads are tightened so far that there is slight metal distortion . . . or else Konica used thread sealer . . . or both.
Also if you plan completely to disassemble and clean the lens you will need the proper helicoid grease at reassembly time. I have posted on that elsewhere, nearby. Renewal of the grease can grant your lens a new lease on life and restore its original "feel". Use of the right grease can also help to minimize opportunity for future trouble with oil on the aperture blades. |
