I'm gonna have to find one of those 2/55 Taks! First shot is awesome! You
have a way of making the picayune, interesting. I'm a fan of Ferrania colors,
too. |

Thanks, Bill. My middle name is Picayune ...
You can bag a 55/2 or 55/1.8 (same lens) for cheap on the bay. I have one that is tight on the aperture ring for small apertures I'll send you for free if you want to try it out. It is entirely operable and sharp ...
I tell you, I like this Ferrania 400. It gives black and white a run for favorite with me. The company has stopped making it, right? _________________ Paul

Paul, I've heard Ferrania has stopped producing film, but I also heard the
same about Fuji Reala. Did you email Shirley? Maybe I should order
so more and ask her what gives. It is definitely one of my fave (and cheap)
color films. Those scans of yours look excellent!
I can send you more of the 400 and 100 if you're out. |

I don't know Shirley but someone on ebay is selling some F400. I am thinking about buying it. $14.95 plus $5 shipping for 10 rolls of 24-exposure. Do you know of a better deal? _________________ Paul

Shirley is the contact rep for Ferrania America, I posted her email in another
thread. That is about what she would sell the 400, so go for it. I'm done with
400 and will be buying 100 and 200, only. I've seen some shots where the
guy metered the 200 at 400 with great results and reduced grain. |

Thanks, Bill. I had not seen that thread.
I really like the 100, too.
But there is something abut that 400 grain ... _________________ Paul
