Many thanks Ron, that lens looks very sharp and I too like the colours and tonality, the shot of the grapes (or berries, I'm no horticulturalist!) shows wonderful tonality on the fruit. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Cool. Made from 1959 to about 1965, depending if yours is a SR1 version or SR2.
That's what I'm trying to get also. I'm trying to put together a pre MC kit. _________________

I am so jealous. I've heard of 3D Pop but hadn't really seen it until I took that second image. No PP other than exposure adjustment and Wow!
I think I will be asking to "borrow" this lens more often.

Great IQ. Minolta colors. And was the cheaper 100 mm version.
The 35/4 QD is so good as that 100 mm?

I've just picked up one of these very cheap, the early 59-65 one, but sadly the aperture doesn't work properly. Looking forward to trying it out though when we get some sunlight. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

So they say, but sometimes you wonder whether something worse has happened. Hopefully not! _________________ "I've got a Nikon camera, I like to take a photograph" - Paul Simon |

Correct, but I too hope not. There are several, if not many, here at my age or older. I've noticed a few that have stopped posting. I'd feel better if folks would say goodbye when they decide to leave the forum. I'll try to do that myself before I drop dead... er, fade away. _________________ Regards,
