Thanks for sharing Ron. Very nice shots.

I like the tonal range and the vintage look of the color.

Many thanks Ron, that lens looks very sharp and I too like the colours and tonality, the shot of the grapes (or berries, I'm no horticulturalist!) shows wonderful tonality on the fruit.

I missed out on one on the Bay. I already have the QE 35 f4. Ron do you have the SR version which is marked Auto Tele, or the MC version which is marked MC.

Cool. Made from 1959 to about 1965, depending if yours is a SR1 version or SR2.
That's what I'm trying to get also. I'm trying to put together a pre MC kit. Very Happy

I still have my SR3 camera I bought in the late 50s.

I love the colors on #1 -very subdued , also very 3D the tree trunk comes out to smack you. #3 is a good composition.

I borrowed my son's Minolta Rokkor QE 100 f3.5 today and took some images with my D300.
Not a bad lens at all - he is a lucky lad.

I am so jealous. I've heard of 3D Pop but hadn't really seen it until I took that second image. No PP other than exposure adjustment and Wow!
I think I will be asking to "borrow" this lens more often.

Great IQ. Minolta colors. And was the cheaper 100 mm version.

The 35/4 QD is so good as that 100 mm?

Thanks for sharing.

I've just picked up one of these very cheap, the early 59-65 one, but sadly the aperture doesn't work properly. Looking forward to trying it out though when we get some sunlight.

Old photographers never die, they just fade away?

So they say, but sometimes you wonder whether something worse has happened. Hopefully not! Rolling Eyes

Correct, but I too hope not. There are several, if not many, here at my age or older. I've noticed a few that have stopped posting. I'd feel better if folks would say goodbye when they decide to leave the forum. I'll try to do that myself before I drop dead... er, fade away.
