Wow I guess you guys might be a bit richer:
I just stumbled upon this listing for a Minolta Rokkor 24-50/4 and it's bidding at USD 700.00 it's possibly even more expensive than a Sigma 24-70/2.8:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181393575354?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
The last listing for this lens only ended at $196.69 / 117.00 GBP:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MINOLTA-MD-ZOOM-ROKKOR-24-50MM-F4-HOOD-4-3-CAMERAS-478-/221404704815?pt=UK_Photography_VintagePhotography_VintagePhotoAccessories&hash=item338cbfb02f&nma=true&si=DqGIhgc%252FD9COUQPexivKSnJ1Wt0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
What's happening with the recent price jump? There's a Minolta AF version of this lens selling at just a little over $100. So I am guessing it's less likely the Sony NEX/ A7 / A7r users upping the price? Maybe Fuji users? But even so you can get aperture control adapter for a Minolta AF lens. |

One and the same crazy person made a lot of meaningless bids. It goes beyond the normal behavior and leads to some suspicions

Yeah very suspicious behaviour webwalker. Is it possible the person set it to auto bid? But still the upper limit he/she set is very high.
Congrats Ben, I bought one as well last year, eager to try it out with the Lens Turbo I am going to get.
I think it's a good landscape lens, but I like the 35-70/3.5 more as a walk around lens due to it's close focus capability. Even the 24-35 is able to focus closer and is a lot smaller and lighter. Two lenses that seem similar but are actually quite different imo. |
