After a not-so-recent lens-buying frenzy, I found myself with four Meyer 50's -- an Oreston f/1.8 (a favourite now) and two Domiplan f/2.8's (all zebras), and a Primotar-E f/3.5 (sticky aluminium). This Primotar, and all those I've seen pictured, has THREE control rings: focus, aperture, and... up front, an unknown, with two dots. That ring turns just enough to set either dot to the index mark. I've gargled extensively on the lens and found no mention of the dots. WHAT DO THEY MEAN??? _________________ Too many film+digi cams+lenses, oh my -- Pentax K20D, K-1000, M42s, more
