I have the Tamron Ext Tube for this lens too, which then becomes true 1:1

Only handheld without flash, so the DOF is shallow, but in more talented hands, this lens would be hard to beat IMO

Another, same lens.

Anyone else have any macros with this Tamron?

Those Adaptall glass realy surprises sometimes.
And you know how to work with them. Nice results. I was thinking about to get SP 90mm f2.8 (72B) which goes to 1:1 w/o tubes. But I read that it is tricky somehow.

Excellent pictures with excellent colours.
You have a really steady hand!
And I love pictures without flash Laughing

I have some, but I tend to suck at macro Laughing

Very Happy
...it is true that since when I shoot on film capture macro only sporadically.
It changes mind.

Thank you very much, all of you.

I have had the Panagor 90mm f2.8 , which is true macro like the Tam 90mm f2.8 without tubes, and the panagor is another beautiful lens

So why did you gave away that Panagor?

Yeah, I posted some test images with mine here. Also posted this one a while back:

Rosebud, Tamron 90/2.5 @ f/8, 100% crop:

Another 100% crop, this one of a bug on a rose petal. Exposure unrecorded, but probably f/8 @ flash sync.

I didn't use the 1:1 tc with either, so these were both 1:2

I like these too.

All my above shots were @ 1:1 but they've been heavily resized

Maybe understand. Sometimes is hard to decide if one lens stay and another not. Sometimes apllies rules that better lens in focal length keep in. Cheers

I would certainly buy another if one came my way. Its a top class macro lens for sure, and no need for extension tubes for 1:1 ratio

I've learned from past "mistakes" hopefully, and no longer do things like sell a lens just because I bought another that more-or-less duplicates it in terms of focal length and performance. Seems like, sooner or later, I've always regretted selling it, so I just don't do it anymore.

Very impressive macro images!

I have both the 52B and the 52BB (and the extention tube and the 01f 2x converter)

I love them both!

oh all right, I'll show some of my 52bb macros that don't suck Wink
Soren, I also have both the tube and the tele extender, and agree: it's pretty damn nice for regular shooting, I haven't felt the need to get one of those 85mm things... yet.

I forgot this image in my last post.

I have a dream to collect most the old adaptall-2 SP lenses because of the great quality. So far I have managed to have two 90mm (52B and 52BB) and the SP 500mm f/8 55B. Cool

Here are some of mine although mine is the later model. Its a f2.8 model but it does 1:1 with no extension tube needed but still a manual focus lens Wink
